Environmentally Conscious Manufacturing

As manufacturers, we take seriously our obligation to minimize adverse impacts on our planet. So we’ve adopted the practice of Environmentally Conscious Manufacturing (ECM), a way of thinking that protects the planet from exploitation and conserves natural resources.

98% Recyclable

Most of our hardware is made of aluminum. Aluminum is one of the most environmentally-friendly metals on the planet. Percentage-wise, it is the most recycled industrial metal of all, since its properties make it 100% recyclable. This means that after serving its use, the KATMAs can be melted down and reused in another way.

Minimize Plastic Consumption

Knowing that plastic takes 500 years to decompose, we challenged ourselves to limit the use of plastic material to 2% or less. From the product to the packaging we have replaced the use of plastics with materials that are friendly to the environment

Safe and less toxin paints

We intentionally selected powder coating finishing because the process does not contain solvents, emit little or no VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) during the entire finishing process. Some other environmental advantages of powder coatings include less carbon dioxide emissions, no hazardous waste requiring disposal, and the need to use a primer prior to coating application.

Low energy Consumption

Our kiosk only consumes an average of 0.02 kWh (kilowatt hours). When you consume less energy, you reduce the amount of toxic gases released by power plants, conserve the earth’s natural resources, and protect ecosystems from destruction.
